Support the Canadian Airborne Forces Museum

If you overlooked sending in your donation to the Airborne Forces Museum and would still like to donate and have your name placed on the St Michael’s Wall at the entrance to the museum, please join the over 350 members of the brotherhood who have already given the museum their support. The Canadian Airborne Forces Museum is dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of the heritage of Canada’s airborne forces. The Museum promotes the remembrance of our military past and the recognition of the airborne forces service in peace and war through the education of our youth, the fostering of our identity, the nurturing of understanding and the promotion of esprit de corps. On July 1, 2005, CFB Petawawa commemorated its 100th Anniversary. Part of the celebrations included the opening and dedication of a newly renovated and expanded complex that houses both the Base and Airborne Museums.

In the first call for donations, almost $50,000 was collected to cover the costs of the recent renovations. We aren’t finished yet. Our current plans foresee a need for a further $150,000 over the next five years to finish the work we started in 2004.

Everyone is invited to be a part of this historical event by becoming a ‘Founding Donor’. You will be recognized with a personal plaque on the Saint Michael’s Wall located at the entrance to the Museum. This recognition, linking you with the patron saint of parachutists and the renewal of the museum is available to those who make a minimum donation of $100. Only 350 plaques are available, so if you have not already donated, you can still reserve your place in the history of The Canadian Airborne Forces Museum by returning the donation form to ensure your name is included. You will receive a receipt for income tax purposes.

Donations over $100 are welcome and will be especially recognized in the Museum, as will all future donations and endowments to the Museum. Should you wish to donate a larger amount now, you may direct your donation over $100 for use in a specific gallery. Donations to the undesignated fund will be used to support the operations of the Museum. You can direct your donation to any of the following:

  • Undesignated
  • 1 st Canadian Parachute Battalion
  • First Special Service Force
  • Special Air Service, Defence of Canada Force, Mobile Strike Force
  • Canadian Airborne Regiment
  • The Paratroopers of Today (Post 1996)
  • Hall of Remembrance
  • Education and Outreach Programs
